"What a pleasure to meet you and your craft ! Your
guitar was magnificent, and was the best thing at the show
at least for me). We must talk about a guitar ! If other guys
are making them and are being successful, your designs will
rise to the top of the heap in no time. We simply have to get
the word out there. Lets stay in touch, I have some ideas."

"Dear Mike Haney,
I wanted to write you this note to let you know how incredibly pleased
I am with the guitar that you made for my wife. I absolutely understand
what a job it must have been to take the bits and pieces of information
that she could give you and try to do what you obviously do so well---make
guitars. I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to play, to listen to it
being played, and to even look at it. You have created for me a pleasurable
means of sharing my love of music and for the guitar with others.
I wanted to also let you know the things I have particularly liked
and have noticed about what you have done. I suppose above all things
I need to say THE SOUND IS MAGNIFCENT.I unpacked the guitar,
immediately tuned it and played a full chord---it was perfect. I have
played many guitars of varying quality, but I have never played a
guitar with better sound. It is full, rich, and sustained. Certainly
I appreciate the tuners, the herringbone, the rosewood, my name in
abalone, and the overall feel and balance, and even the understated
simplicity in design. But without question, THE SOUND IS MAGNIFICENT.
I am not sure if Sue had mentioned to you that I had the neck of my
Taylor cut down because of the thick and heavy feel it had. The luthier
did a wonderful job on it and I had determined that I would own that
guitar the rest of my life because I was very happy with it and only
wanted to have the neck feel thinner in my hand. I don't know how
you were able to do it , but the neck you made for me is perfect for
the feel I like. Now, however I have a wonderful Taylor 812 for sale!
In closing, let me say thank you for your skill and the quality of the
work that you gave me. Also, it is a pleasure to share the guitar with
my friends and tell them that I own a handmade Haney guitar. After hearing
it , they wish they owned one too!!!"

"I saw this postcard and thought of you (Picasso Cubist Guitar). Like the
picture you took some pieces and some how formed a better restoration on my
guitar than when it was new. Everything on it is perfect. The pickups are perfect,
the neck nut, everything."

"I don't think there is a guitar you can't fix."

"Mike, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your expertise in
doing my guitar repairs. Whether it be acoustic or electric, your quality work
and attention to detail are second to none. Very seldom do you find a repair
expert who cares so much about the guitar and the outcome of the repair. You care
about each guitar as if it were your own. So far, your have worked on 3 Stratocasters,
2 Ovations and a Guild and a Les Paul. I am extremely pleased with the results. Your
work and attitude are excellent and much appreciated. I just wanted to let you know."
- Terry Roland Smith
"Mike, Thank you so much for the excellent work you do on my guitars! You helped resurrect my
old Taylor from bad electronics right in time for a string of shows! I would go to no one else
for any work I need done. Your work, turnaround time and all around service, is simply the best.
I tell almost any guitar player I meet that needs any work done... "you gotta call this guy!!!"
Hope all is well. Someday we will build that guitar with Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a
little Adirondack spruce for the top. Take care Mike!!!"
